Tumblebees
We meet in the lobby at Tumblebees 15 minutes before the scheduled time to be ready for our group to start promptly for an hour of gymnastics. Clients will be responsible for paying $2.00 to help pay for this activity. No client will participate unless Hamilton Services receives a release form prior to the above dates. If you have signed a form within the past year, you do not need to again. They are kept on file at Tumblebees for a year.
Directions from the office: Turn right onto Yanceyville St. Turn left onto the ramp for Wendover Ave. WEST. Follow Wendover Ave. to Friendly Ave./Shopping Center. Turn left at the top of the exit. Turn right onto Friendly Ave. Follow Friendly Ave. through town and past Holden Rd. and Guilford College. Turn left on Downwind Rd. Tumblebees is on the left. Meet in the lobby.

Natural Science Center - Animal Discovery is now open!
The Natural Science Center is a "hands-on museum and planetarium offering fun for the whole family." Now that Animal Discovery is open, we can watch the tigers, monkeys, etc. When weather permits, we can hang out in the park, too!
We typically schedule this as a group activity monthly. In addition, Hamilton Services has a membership to the Natural Science Center, which permits our clients to attend with their workers anytime they wish.
Directions from the office: Turn left onto Yanceyville St. and then left on Cornwallis. Turn right on Lawndale. Continue on Lawndale past Pisgah Church. Natural Science Center is on the left. Meet in the lobby.

Bowling
We meet at the AMF All Star Lanes at 910 S. Holden Rd., Greensboro. There is a $2.00 fee for this activity; no charge for staff. Any snacks or beverages are paid by the client. We suggest you bring or wear socks.
Directions from the office: Turn right onto Yanceyville St. Turn left onto the ramp for Wendover Ave. WEST. Follow Wendover Ave. West to Holden Rd. (a left-hand exit). At the bottom of the exit, turn left onto Holden Rd. All Star Lanes is on the right just past the intersection of Holden and Spring Garden Roads.
Home Depot
Meet at the Home Depot on S. Elm-Eugene St. at 5:00 p.m. The activity is held in the employee training room where we build a small wooden item to take home. It takes approximately 30 - 45 minutes and there is no cost to you. Suggestion: Have your child and staff purchase a small can of paint and decorate the item at home!
This activity is held on the first Wednesday of each month during the school year.
Directions from the office: Turn right onto Yanceyville Rd., then left onto Bessemer. Watch for the sign for Highway 29 South. Follow 29 south to I-85 south. Merge onto I-85 South. Take the Elm-Eugene exit. Turn left at the top of the exit. Home Depot is on the right.
Cooking
Each month we meet at the office to learn new recipes and techniques in the kitchen. Don't worry, Mom. Our Activities Coordinator supervises this activity and is in charge of the oven and/or stove. This activity is free and each client goes home with a yummy treat (if it makes it that far!). It's especially important to RSVP to this activity so we can be sure we have enough materials! We don't want to leave anyone out!
Roller Skating
Meet at Skateland USA on Stagecoach Trail. This is a fun activity for clients and staff, including the non-ambulatory! Some of our clients are nearly pros! There is a $2.00 charge for this activity for clients; no charge for staff. Clients may bring their own skates if they prefer.
Directions from office: Turn right onto Yanceyville St. Turn left onto the ramp for Wendover Ave. West. Take the Spring Garden exit and turn right. Turn left onto Market St. (Walgreen's on the corner). Continue on Market St. past Guilford College Rd. Turn right onto Stagecoach Trail. Skateland is on the right just past The Barn Dinner Theater.
Crafts
We meet at the office at least once a month to make seasonal crafts that are fun to take home and show off! This activity is free. It's especially important to RSVP to this activity so we can be sure to have enough materials! We don't want to leave anyone out!
Children's Museum
Meet at the front entrance for our group trip to the Greensboro Children's Museum. There are different things happening at the Children's Museum, so even though you've been a couple of times, there will probably be something new for you to see and do.
Also, Hamilton Services has a membership to the Children's Museum, allowing clients and their workers to go whenever they wish.
Directions from the office: Turn left onto Yanceyville St. and then left on Cornwallis. Take another left onto Church Street, the Children's Museum is downtown on the left.

Dinner Out
We eat dinner out once a month at various restaurants. What a great opportunity for clients and workers to get to know one another better! Please check the calendar for location and times, as these will vary. Staff and clients are responsible for paying for their own meals!
Reading
We have a cozy reading corner in our beautiful Activities Room where we gather to be read some really fun books (usually seasonal topics) and follow them up with exciting activities! For example, we might read Dr. Seuss's Green Eggs & Ham, then make and eat some green eggs and ham! That's just one example. It's fun and educational, too!
Occasionally, we go to Barnes & Noble for our reading activity. Be sure to check the calendar for time and location.
